Using the Executive Summary Reports
ExakTime Connect features three Executive Summary reports accessible under the Reports section within ExakTime Connect. The variations are Cost Code, Employee, and Location Executive Summary.
Cost Code Executive Summary displays a list of Cost Codes and their total sum of hours for a specified date range. Total hours can be broken into Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly. Does not separate time by Employee or Location
Employee Executive Summary displays a list of Employees and their total sum of hours for a specified date range. Total hours can be broken into Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly. Does not separate time by Cost Code or Location.
Location Executive Summary displays a list of Locations and their total sum of hours for a specified date range. Total hours can be broken into Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly. Does not separate by Employee or Cost Code.
To access these, go to Reports, and either expand the Cost Code, Employee, or Location section on the left depending on which variation of the report you need. From there, select Executive Summary.
As with most reports, select the date range you want to see while using the Formatting section to refine columns and sorting options.
The Executive Summary reports feature additional settings that may prove useful. These are listed under Report Specific Options; the show ID option will change based on which type of Executive Summary is being viewed. (e.g.: Show Employee ID = Employee Executive Summary, Show Location ID = Location Executive Summary, etc.)
- Show Employee ID: Include employee IDs (changes based on variation viewed)
- Sort by: Sort the employee column by their names or IDs
- Group by: Select whether to group the totals by Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year
- Show Overtime Hours: Break hours into separate Regular, Overtime, and Overtime 2 columns
- Fit Report to 1 page wide: Shrink the report as needed to fit everything on one page. May not present in a readable size depending on the amount of data
Executive Summary is formatted to landscape view and may not display optimally when viewing date ranges or pay periods that expand beyond two weeks of information when grouped by "Day". When this occurs, you will see the message below:
Below is an example grouped by "Day" with overtime enabled.
The next example shows the report grouped by "Week" pulling data for a full month.
